FAQ

About Zillow data scraping.

Can you scrape Zillow at scale?

Yes — Zillow's anti-bot infrastructure is sophisticated but manageable with proper residential IP rotation, browser-based capture, and rate management. We target sub-5% block rate at production scale.

How do you handle sold price data?

Sold prices where Zillow/Redfin surface them are captured. Coverage varies by state due to differing public-records disclosure rules. Non-disclosure states (TX, KS, ID, NM, NJ, AK, ND, MT, MS, MO, ME, NH, LA, WY, UT) have limited sold-price availability.

Do you cover MLS data directly?

MLS access is licensed by region and not generally available to third parties via direct API. We work with publicly accessible listing portals (Zillow, Redfin, Realtor.com) and public county records, not direct MLS feeds.

How do you dedupe listings across Zillow, Redfin, and Realtor?

Address normalization (USPS-format) + listing-attribute matching (beds/baths/sqft) produces a canonical entity per property. Source-level details retained so you can cross-validate.
